We all have been hooked to the entertainment industry since forever. And as time passes by, it has greater things to offer. With a wide genre of movies & shows, there is a variety of things to binge watch. One of those is animated movies. Gone is the time when animated movies were for children. Today it is part of mainstream films and has a booming business with viewers from all age groups. A lot of animated films have content that is gripping, catchy & compelling. And over the years, quality of animation and graphics have improved to give a surreal experience to viewers. Let's have a look at the top ten animated movies of all times: 

1. Aladdin: Its a Disney classic released in 1992. A street urchin named Aladdin falls in love with the princess. But is not able to marry her as he is not a prince. Aladdin finds a magic lamp & becomes a prince but is exposed by Jafar who steals the lamp for himself. Aladdin Atricks Jafar & gets possession of the lamp. He uses his last wish to free Genie. The sultan then changes the rule and allows Jasmine to marry whoever she chooses.

2. Ratatouille: Remy is a rat who has a flair for cooking. But humans would never appreciate their food handle by a rodent, eh? A great chef can come from anywhere! With this ideology, the movie continues to an adventure of how Remy become one of the finest chefs in Paris.

3. Moana: When her village is struck by blight, Moana sets sail in order to return the heart of goddess Te Fetti and saving her people. It is a story of courage and wisdom with the perfect mix of music. This 2016 release went on to do a business of $643 billion worldwide.

4. Frozen: Elsa is a newly crowned queen who has no control over her powers that can freeze everything to ice. When her powers accidentally come to public eyes, she runs away and disappears. Her sister Anna sets on a trail to find her & meets new people on the way. The final showdown takes place where love triumphs and Elsa finally learns how to control her powers. The movie has a second instalment lined up that is soon to be released.

5. Incredibles: A family of superheroes is living undercover after a ban was initiated to discontinue their practices. But not too long till their cover is blown when Bob retrieves his hero work. This 2004 film was loved by audiences & critics alike and a sequel was out after 14 years.

6. Despicable Me: Audiences went 'bananas'  about this one. So much so that it's prequel was released five years after it. Despicable Me is a 2010 movie about one of the cutest villains of all times, Gru. Gru adopts three orphans to perform a heist when things go much different than expected and he ends up becoming a wonderful parent to them.

7. The Lion King: King Mufasa is murdered by his brother Scar for the sake of the throne. As a cub, Simba is forced to leave the clan and wander far from home. But how long can a king stay away from his land? Simba returns to fight for his place and emerges as the new king of the jungle. This 1994 animated movie is being made into a live action film & is set to release on July 19, 2019.

8. Beauty & The Beast: Belle is a beautiful young lady who is interested in literature even though there is criticism from the villagers around. She is on a desperate search for her father & finds himself locked in the beast's castle. In order to rescue him, she agrees to become the prisoner instead. A story of love unravels as the curse on the beast finally comes to an end & he turns into a handsome prince.

9. Mulan: It is the story of a young woman who joins the army imposing as a man in place of her old father who is an army veteran. She trains to become a warrior & fights the Huns during which she is wounded. Her cover is blown when the injury is treated. She is expelled from the army. But the Huns are yet to be defeated. Mulan notices that the Huns are entering the city with the aim of capturing the emperor. She is quick to act and defeats their leader.

10.Coco: An idea by director Lee Unkrich led to Coco being the best-animated film of the year 2017 in which it released. It is a story of a boy named Miguel who wishes to take up singing in spite of his family's ban. He accidentally finds himself on the Land of the dead where he meets his great great grandfather, who helps him get back home and remove the family ban on music.

This movie won a number of accolades and was the 11th highest grossing movie of 2017.
